Sept 23

September 23, 2008

So why a cow picture? Everyone thinks cows are dumb, but in the middle of the mid-west heat this cow looks pretty smart to me. Lots of folks think we may be a little dumb to be walking down the side of the road 20 miles a day, but we know that we are really walking right smack-dab in the middle of God’s will.  That means we may not be as dumb as we look. The Lord has shown us spiritual things that we probably  would never have seen except in this time of obedience.  Today we walked along with our guest walkers through Columbus and Oswego.  Ray and I got to pray with Bro. Stanton at First Baptist, Columbus and then at six other churches.  We are blessed this evening to be in the care of Pastor Steve McBrien and his wife Gwen at Oswego Assembly.  We get a shower, first since Saturday, blow-up mattresses and air conditioning, thank you, Jesus. Steve has only been here 8 weeks and this is his first senior pastorate.  I feel quite sure the church is blessed to have this guy in their service.  He has a real servants heart and a desire to see the lost saved.

Well, it looks like you are doing well. It’s funny that the people in our church talk about you like long-lost family and we all can’t wait to see you again.

God has given us a burden to lift you all up in prayer. I know that he hasn’t let you all off my mind. I am still trying to get the tv stations out…but we’ll see.

I hope that God blesses you today with people in your path that need truth. I pray you all will be encouraged and that God would continue to let you see joy in the small things!
