Oct 24

October 25, 2008

These are the eastern Colorado plains, plenty of sage brush, prairie dogs, antelopes and cows but no people.  Once we passed La Junta, it became obvious that we were wasting our time out in this beautiful but empty country.  I asked the Lord what we should do and as soon as I said “amen”  my phone rang.  It was Pastor BJ Worthem, from Lighthouse Church in Walsenburg, offering to let us stay in the basement of thier church for the weekend.  Walsenburg is the next town on our route after 60 miles of empty plains.  We knew God was in it so we loaded up and headed to Walsenburg.  We will take tomorrow off and let Noah’s antibiotics kick in for his ankle wound, attend church with these wonderful folks on Sunday and take off into the Rockies Monday morning.

    Hi Guys,

Glad to see how well you are doing way out there. Guess what???????? The Lord has been showing me how to make collage of all the pictures and writings by Mike to put on a very large poster board and put up in our church here at First Pentecost. People will have a better understanding if they could see and read about how God’s working in your lives out there in the mid-west. You folks are going in places and States that I had never been in my life! Great experience in Jesus, just like the apostles did in Bible days. Well, I must go and get clothes folded, put away and get to bed for church is tomorrow, and I have a lot of things to take to the church. Monthly Bulletins, calendars, Sister Patterson’s notes on her teaching of Revelation she wanted me to type and make copies of for tomorrow night, also the church’s cleaning list. It’s fun to work in the Lord in ministry. When you have a moment e-mail me, love to hear from YOU!!!!
    Love and Blessings,
