p1190041Our short journey through the corner of Idaho ended today as we crossed the Snake River for the umpteenth time and ended up in Nyssa OR.

Our day started when Pastor Truman Parker and his son, Ben, met us at our room in Mountain Home ID.  Ben is a freelance photographer from Brooklyn NY.  He wanted to photograph the guys on Emigrant Road headed to Boise.  He must have taken a thousand pictures from every angle imaginable.s5001865

Sometimes we go to the extreme to stay off the interstates.  This was one of those times; we were a little worried if we were ever going to get back to a hard road but we did.

Pastor Tom Cook, Nyssa Church of the Nazarene, was our angel tonight.  He invited us to stay in their fellowship hall and use the kitchen to cook supper.  He is the second retired military chaplain we have met along the way.
